This project was based on an art movement. The art movement that I looked into was Arte Povera. Arte Povera is art that is made out of natural materials. For this project I based is around WW1 war horse and how the soldiers used to honour their horses when they passed away as they depended on their horses so much. I made a short trailer and film.

Project synopisis
In this project my aim was to read the text and complete a script breakdown. Experiment with materials and techniques to create unique characters. To breakdown the text into acts, scenes, and outline character transformations that place. Use the research to re-imagine/ design and create a range of characters. To complete both 2D and 3d technical skills.
This narrative fantasy is set in an imaginary world. Both the environment and characters are very descriptive and create an extremely atmospheric and visual reality where all the characters inhabit the same peculiar environment of Gormenghast castle yet seem to have no contact with the outside world. It is often referred to as a “Gothic Fantasy” as there is darkness however there is also gentleness, humour, pathos, beauty, tragedy and love.
